Handyman DFW  

On Sunday, April 15th, 2007, Petton Construction, the parent company of Handyman DFW, Daryl Petton, Mark Manning and a group of students from Tarrant County College volunteered to clean up and repair the house of Jim Dempsey, a retired Army officer and State of TX Employee in his 70's. Mr Dempsey had lived in his mid-cities home for over 30 years.

During the evening hours of the previous Saturday, several tornados touched down near Mr. Dempsey's house and baseball sized hail hammered his neighborhood.

The cold front that ushered in the violent weather made the morning cold and windy, but this did not slow down our volunteers. The group spent the day cleaning the leaves off the roof, raking the leaves, cutting tree limbs, repairing damaged wood on the eves of the house and painting.
